How AI agents apply to LinkedIn jobs
An AI agent for LinkedIn finds jobs, reads each one, decides whether it fits your resume, fills in the application, submits it, and asks a person when it needs a fact it does not have. This guide walks through that loop and lists what to check before you trust a tool that does it.
How it differs from the tools you may have used
A resume tool helps you write or tailor a resume, and you still find the jobs and apply. A job board lists jobs for you to search and apply to yourself. An autofill extension fills in a form from information you stored, but you find the job and press submit. An auto-apply bot works through jobs by fixed rules, such as keyword filters, so the rules decide rather than a reading of each description.
An AI agent does the whole loop. It reads the job description and judges the fit, which is the part the other tools leave to you. The categories are compared in what an AI job application agent does.
The loop, step by step
- 01
Find jobs
The agent searches the job site for recent postings in the roles and places you set. Today Aupply searches LinkedIn Easy Apply jobs only, and Wellfound, Greenhouse, Workday, Indeed and Naukri are coming soon.
- 02
Read each description
It reads the full description, not only the title and the company name, because the requirements are in the description.
- 03
Match it to your resume
It compares the work, projects and skills in the description with your resume and skips the jobs that clearly do not fit, such as the wrong seniority or a stack you ruled out.
- 04
Fill in the form
For each page of a multi-step form, it fills the fields from your resume, your saved answers and your preferences, and asks you for any personal fact it does not have.
- 05
Submit once
It submits each application once. A failed job is retried later in the run, and every outcome is recorded.
- 06
Record the outcome
Every application, skip and failure goes into a record you can read later on your dashboard.
What an agent should not do
- Make up a personal fact such as your notice period, your pay or your work authorization
- Apply to jobs that clearly do not fit your roles, places or the technology you ruled out
- Send more applications than the daily limit it states
- Work on job sites it was not built for
Questions to ask before you use one
- Does it stop and ask you for facts only you know, or does it guess?
- Does it state its daily limit on its own pricing page?
- Does it keep a record of every application, skip and failure?
- Does it say which job sites it works on, and which it does not?
- Have you read the LinkedIn User Agreement, which restricts automated tools? The choice to use one, and the risk to your account, are yours.

How Aupply does it
Aupply works on LinkedIn Easy Apply jobs today, and Wellfound, Greenhouse, Workday, Indeed and Naukri are coming soon. It works at a person's pace with breaks, and sends 30 to 40 applications a day at most. It asks you for the personal facts it does not have and saves each answer once. How it works lists the steps in order, and why a person stays in the loop is the next guide.
